ive been awake since 11pm it’s doing weird things to my time perception im like it’s evening it’s late i need to still work out and do all this reading and meanwhile it’s not even noon yet. i keep falling alseep at 4pm though today i will really try to make it till 9 or 10

i like that we’re born knowing nothing and have to spend the rest of our lives reintergrating ourselves with the world socially emotionally culturally historically & physically. and not only do we have to but we want to. very desperately.

BTW i went through hell last week because all my dad’s friends know me as his daughter in amsterdam who studies linguistics and every old uncle thinks they know allllll about linguistics because they speak 2 hindi and english and i tried to be nice and answer questions but they were driving me insane truly! worst thing is when you know something about your own damn field and someone just refuses to listen because they also speak human language which obviously also makes them an expert. im not going to talk to anyone about orthography ever ever.
